American School of Bombay

ASB has identified Design Thinking as an essential tool/process for all students and adults to learn and use to find new solutions to challenges. We have begun using and applying DT tools and methods in a number of ways. These are some examples - https://docs.google.com/document/d/12wRtWydpyMIm5YL2WGlmBt9Cnj_n5Q3RVH7VSBSQ6FU/edit?usp=sharing They don't fully capture the various ways DT is being used in the classrooms. Our goal is to move towards integrating it throughout our curriculum. Several individuals and organizations partner with us as work to grow the DT mindset. One of them is NuVu Studio, a magnet innovation center. NuVu-Mumbai Studio is a satellite program taking place at our school for students in grades 6-12 and aims to develop their creativity and innovation skills and problem solving abilities, while learning new technology skills. The studios allow students to explore and invent in collaborative teams, and are inspired by cutting-edge research and inventions from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as well as the vibrant technology and design industries across India and the United States. http://asbintersessions.org/mind.asp?name=4
